A CSR-1 number is a unique registration number that is automatically generated by the system after NGO/Society  submits Form CSR-1 to the Registrar electronically. So upon filling up of Form CSR-1 on MCA portal, NGO/Society will be given this number which help them to substantiate their CSR expenditure.
